Stitched reflection - tree bark. £140
This is approximately A5 in size and mounted on a canvas frame, which is covered in calico. It is slightly raised, as the piece is padded with bamboo wadding, raising it a few millimetres off the canvas.
It was made with fabric remnants that I was testing out natural paint dyes. I discovered the thin slivers of fabric sitting next to me reminded me of tree bark. So the stitching began. And a little piece of gold acrylic paint, peeled off a dry palette, made its way in.
I use simple stitches - running, back stitch and french knots. The stitching was an organic process inspried by the colours of the fabric.
Wall hanging - walnut dye and fabric remants. £130
This piece is 48x28cm (around 19"x11")
This piece incorporates some of my first slow stitch and natural dye pieces. These were combined with other elements to create this wall hanging. The brown background is an acorn dyed canvas fabric. The acorns were picked off the road after a glut year and the canvas was given to me.
It includes avocado dyed fabric remnant, upholstery sample remnants, hand spun wool, denim and other remnants.
It has a pocket for mounting on a nautural stick or dowel.
Printed and stitched collage. £130

The background fabric is natural paint dyes. The collaged fabric atops this and is comprised of fabric remnants (including silks and cottons, some plant dyed).

Fabric book - slow stitched. £55
This is approximately 9cm x 9cm (3.5"x3.5")
Sometimes my small slow stitch pieces find a way into other pieces. This book is a coming together of smaller pieces.
Stitched Teabag Book - £45
This book is made from teabags, dried and emptied . They are then slowly stitched on. This is the epitome of my ethos of reusing materials AND slow stitch, without a defined purpose. I just tried stitching on a teabag. After a few I decided to open a bag out and use it like book pages, then the idea took flight.
The challenge was the image (and stitches) can be seen on both sides and influences the next page.
These are small woven pieces - £25 each
They are mounted on cream mount board, 10"x10'"
They are all made using scrap materials from my yarns stash and little pieces of silk and cotton plant dyed fabric. They encorporate household items that have been recycled like, chocolate wrappers, foil tops, raffia from packaging.

Upcyled Demin Jacket - £100
This is a Size 12 La Redoute jacket, in very good condition. It has had slow stitch patches added by me and the larger areas have been lined to provide a comfortable wear without threads from the stitching showing through these areas.
Most of the patches were just slow stitched as part of my daily stitch routine for self regulation. Over time these were brought together to adorn this piece. The piece on the back was drawn by me and then specifically made on a denim patch using hand dyed silks, dyed with plants from my garden. It makes a fab addition to this jacket.
